Our first assessment
As an ongoing commitment to quality care in the Early Childhood sector, ACECQA undertakes assessments on services across Australia and rates them according to the quality areas.
After only being open for 16 months, Mosaic was randomly selected to be assessed.
On the 21st and 22nd May 2015, we were visited by assessment officers who spent time observing, asking questions, looking at evidence and interacting with the children and the staff. There are 7 quality areas, each with sub areas and each one of these needs to be met to receive a "Meeting the National Quality Standard"
I am very pleased to report that in Quality area one, which is "Educational Program and Practice", we were given the rating of Exceeding the National Quality Standard. This is an amazing accomplishment by all of the staff in this crucial area. In the remaining standards, we received the rating of Meeting the National Quality Standard, with no areas of concern, minor adjustments or compliance notes.
I am very proud of the girls and their commitment to the ongoing care of the children and their families and congratulate them on this result.
We will be assessed again in 2 years and aim to exceed all of the remaining standards.
Well done to everyone!
